Robyn to release 3 albums this year

In the 90s, Swedish pop star Robyn was packaged as a Britney Spears clone and she actually had some moderate success singing those vapid pop songs. But after going on relative hiatus on the international scene, she came back again in 2005 with an amazing pop album that not only reinvigorated her career, it has also made her cool again.

Nothing much came out from Robyn’s camp after that, but 2010 is going to be Robyn’s year. The Swedish pop darling is coming out with three, yes, three albums that will be released all throughout this year.

The new songs are reportedly going to be more dance oriented. She’s even going to collaborate with Snoop Dogg in one track called None of Dem, which will be produced by Royksopp (how’s that for indie cred!).

The first album will be released this spring, while the next two albums will come out in summer and winter, respectively.

Wow, I had forgot all about her. I remember her song from the nineties “Show me Love” was a catchy tune. Will be interesting to see if she can re-invent her self and get back into the biz.
