Owen Pallett drops Final Fantasy monicker
Mention Final Fantasy and you’ll probably immediately think about the world famous and iconic Japanese RPG series and not a talented music artist.
Owen Pallett may have used the nom de musique Final Fantasy as a tribute to the video game but now that his new album Heartland is about to be released on January 12, Pallett has finally decided to drop the FF name and use his own instead.
Pallett mentioned trademark infringement as a reason for his decision to “retire” the Final Fantasy name but I think it’s a good move. Pallett doesn’t need to hide behind an alter ego. He’s been making really good music for the last few years and this decision could lead to more people discovering his music.
